Users & User Permissions
Depending on the permissions you have as a DaliCMS user, the functions available to you will differ. Administrators have full control, while Content editors can usually only edit (some or all) existing pages, add new sub pages, and change the navigation for their pages. Sometimes they can also publish changed pages on the website. They usually cannot create new categories or use tools.
Changing User Permissions
As an administrator you can change the permissions of all users in the DaliCMS system. Click on Users and Manage Users. You get a list of all registered users. By clicking the green icon next to their usernames you get a list of options:
- Edit User: Edit the details of this user.
- Delete User: Delete this user from the system
- Edit Permissions: Edit the Permissions for this user (for each category). These can be:
- Read: Allows the user to read items in this category.
- Write: Allows the user to write items in this category.
- Publish: Allows the user tot publish items in this category.

An Administrator has standard publishing rights in all categories. Additionally, he has the following permissions:
- Making new Categories
- Removing Categories
- Creating Templates
- Editing Templates
- Removing Templates
System Administrator
A System Administrator has the same rights as the Administrator. On top of that he can manage the system users and edit their permissions.
